Main Street Dandridge is pleased to host the Highland Dance Competition on Saturday, September 24, 2011. This popular event is an integral part of the annual Scots-Irish Music Festival held in the historic downtown.
Highland Dancing perpetuates a great cultural tradition, presents athletic challenges, and establishes competitive goals for the participants. Spectators enjoy the display of strength, stamina, and technical precision, as well as the traditional attire. The Dandridge Highland Dance Competition is sanctioned by Federation of United States Teachers and Adjudicators (FUSTA) under Scottish Official Board of Highland Dancing (SOBHD) Competition No. 0429.
